Immunization Schedule

This is the immunization schedule that we typically follow at Chisholm Trail Pediatrics.  It is based on the CDC recommendations for children 18 years or younger.  Individual immunization schedules may vary depending on parent and provider discretion.

The Newborn Metabolic Screen #1, Hearing Screen, and the Hepatitis B #1 are done at the hospital.

The Newborn Metabolic Screen #2 is conducted through a heel stick.  This is required by the state of Texas and will be sent out for results.

Vaxneuvance #2, Rotateq #2, Vaxelis #2 (DTaP #2, IPV #2, HIB #2, Hep B #3) 

Vaxneuvance #3, Rotateq #3, Vaxelis #3 (DTaP #3, IPV #3, HIB #3, Hep B #4)

Catch up on vaccines if needed

MMR #1, Varicella #1, and Hep A #1.

Pentacel #4(DTap #4, IPV #4, HIB #4), Prevnar #4 

Hep A #2 

This appointment does NOT include immunizations unless any immunizations are needed to catch up.

Quadracel (DTaP #5, IPV #4), Proquad (MMR #2, Varicella #2) 

This appointment does not include any immunizations unless any are needed from the 4 year old visit.

  • GHP, TSH, and Lipid panel usually performed at 11 years per provider discretion.

  • Adacel (Adolescent Tdap), Menactra #1, Gardasil #1 (HPV: if starting and finishing series before age 15, only need 2 injections 6-12 months apart)

This appointment does NOT include immunizations unless any immunizations are needed to catch up.

  • Lipid panel and H/H panel per provider discretion

  • Menactra (2nd Meningococcal)

  • Bexsero (Meningitis B Vaccine), which is often needed for college.
